A Journey of Innovation

From humble beginnings to a leading innovation center - discover the history of the Suspension Center.

1981

The Racing Years

Gery Peyer begins his international motocross career. To gain a competitive advantage, he starts intensively studying suspension tuning and optimization - laying the foundation for his later expertise.

1993

The Vision of a Network

With the emerging mountain bike boom, Gery Peyer recognizes an important market gap: Europe needs a network of specialized workshops for suspension component maintenance. This vision would lay the groundwork for future development.

1994

The California Breakthrough

A groundbreaking trip to California leads Gery to the biggest names in the suspension industry: Fox, RockShox, Risse, Stratos, Noleen, Cannondale, and others. He returns with seven distribution contracts and service center agreements - the starting signal for international expansion.

1996

Fox Racing World Cup Success

Fox Racing hires Gery as a suspension expert for the World Cup elite. As the person responsible for setup and tuning, he works with the world's best riders and contributes to numerous world championship titles.

1997

Fox Development & Expansion

Together with his mentor John Marking, Gery develops new prototypes for Fox shocks, which are tested with the world's best riders. At the same time, he builds up the European network of Fox service centers and trains their technicians.

1997

Racing Team Foundation

The Suspension Center establishes its own racing team to test materials and setups under the toughest racing conditions. The insights and data gained flow directly into the further development of service offerings.

2005

First Elite World Cup Podium

Justin Leov from New Zealand achieves the first elite podium finish in the World Cup with the Suspension Center Racing Team. A remarkable success that demonstrates the team's technical expertise.

2010

End of a World Cup Era

After 15 successful years in international racing, multiple world championship titles, and countless podium finishes with his athletes, Gery focuses on expanding his suspension business in Switzerland.

2014

New Beginning and Transformation

After 20 successful years, the distribution partnership with Fox ends. A pivotal moment that also offers the opportunity for a new beginning and strategic reorientation of the company.

2015

Suspension Center 2.0

With new energy and fresh ideas, Gery, Lars, and Désirée begin the company's reorientation. The goal: To become Switzerland's leading multi-brand service center - not just for one brand, but for all.

2016

Digital Revolution

All service processes are analyzed and digitally optimized. With specially developed service software, we can guarantee fast and reliable service processes.

2018

Focus on Service Excellence

Collaboration with many of the original brands is resumed. The focus shifts from distribution to specialization in suspension service, with the aim of becoming Switzerland's leading service center.

2023

Generational Change

Gery hands over his life's work to the next generation. Lars and Désirée take over the business to continue the legacy. New ideas and fresh energy will guide the company in the right direction.

2024

30 Years of Passion

30 years after signing the first contract with a suspension company, Gery still works in the workshop. This is where his passion lies, this is what he loves. Those who send in their suspension might be lucky enough to have it serviced by a living suspension legend.
